FAQs
What does “sustainable and restorative landscaping” mean?
We focus on creating and maintaining landscapes that work with nature rather than against it. This includes practices that conserve water, improve soil health, reduce chemical use, support local ecosystems, and restore natural balance to your outdoor spaces.
How is your approach different from traditional landscaping?
Traditional landscaping often relies heavily on chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and high water usage. Our approach prioritizes soil health, native and climate-appropriate plants, organic inputs, and techniques that reduce long-term maintenance needs while benefiting the environment.
Do you only work with native plants?
Not exclusively. While native plants are often a strong foundation because they’re adapted to local conditions, we also incorporate other climate-appropriate species that are non-invasive, pollinator-friendly, and suited to your site’s specific needs.
Can you maintain my existing garden or lawn?
Yes. We can maintain and improve existing landscapes by gradually transitioning them to more sustainable practices.
Do you use pesticides or synthetic fertilizers?
We avoid synthetic chemicals whenever possible. Instead, we use organic treatments, biological controls, and natural soil amendments following Integrated Pest Management principles to promote resilience and health in plants.
What areas do you serve?
